Tuesday, February 22

This song by Casting Crowns really describes where our team is at right now:

"If we've ever needed You
Lord, it's now, Lord, it's now
We are desperate for Your hand
We're reaching out, we're reaching out

All our hearts, all our strength
With all our minds, we're at Your feet
May Your kingdom come in our hearts and lives
Let Your church arise, let Your church arise"

This afternoon we had a meeting at the office with all staff who want to be actively involved in the festival, March 25-27. Tonight, we got together as expats to talk through what the next 6 weeks look like in preparation for the festival. We are anticipating 40,000 people to come to the festival- which is no small number. The task ahead of us is massive. But we serve a big God.

If you are a person who prays, please join us in praying for the festival.

Pray for health and safety for all of the volunteers, staff, out of country visitors and all of their families, and especially for Franklin.

Pray for spiritual protection in the preparation and proclamation phase of the Festival. Spiritual warfare is real.

Pray for extra energy, strength and grace as we all take on extra responsibilities to make this happen.

Pray for softened hearts for the people of Liberia, that they may come to hear the Truth, and a revival will happen in this country.

Pray that God will move mountains, and more than 40,000 people will come to attend the festival!

Pray that His church will arise!

Tomorrow the first of 3 media teams arrives. I'll update as much as I can while they are here, depending on our internet up country. Please pray for smooth and safe travel, and great opportunities to talk with our beneficiaries about how our projects have impacted their lives.
