What a great day!
I was able to get onto the UN chopper today to travel from Monrovia to Voinjama (saving 10 hours on the road), where a vehicle was waiting to drive the remaining 2 hours to Foya. Danielle was waiting to board the flight back to Monrovia, but was told she had to wait another three hours before her chopper left. So with this in mind, we just HAD to go to the UN Pakbat to eat Pakistani food for lunch! :) Three dollars later and a very full and content belly, we headed back to the "airport" to drop of Danielle and started for Foya soon after.
Wanting to stretch our legs a bit, Suzie and I decided to go for a 30 minute late afternoon walk around town. After three and a half hours, many greetings to friends, a Jesus Film showing by Campus Crusade for Christ, and an egg sandwich by flashlight, we returned back to the base.
It's good to be back in Foya.
